ABOUT CAFECITO'S ATITLÁN COFFEE
Coffees grown high on the slopes of Volcán Atitlán, overlooking el Lago, are prized for their complex flavor profiles. El Lago, or Lake Atitlán, is my favorite place on earth; I've spent holidays and New Years there, creating cherished memories since childhood. Not only is it one of the most spectacular places you can ever visit, but it also produces equally amazing coffee. Its volcanic soil, high altitude, and cool temperatures, coupled with the fresh mountain air and daily winds, create a unique microclimate in this special region. This unique terroir contributes to the coffee's complex flavor profile. To further enhance their inherent qualities, these beans are then carefully processed using the washed method, where the coffee cherries are pulped and fermented before being washed and dried. This meticulous process enhances the coffee's bright acidity and clean flavors, allowing nuanced notes of Citrus 🍋, Caramel 🍮, and Pecans 🌰 to shine through. These beans are known for their rich body, bright acidity, and complex flavors.
