Rooted in Guatemala. Built in Brooklyn.

Cafecito Social is a Guatemalan-founded coffee brand built around culture, family, and connection — one cup at a time.

¡Hola! I’m Gaby — the coffee-loving Chapina behind Cafecito Social.

I’m a proud Guatemalan who built a life in New York. It’s where I met my husband, built my career, and became a parent. But no matter how far life takes me, Guatemala will always be home.

I grew up around coffee — especially in my grandmother’s house, which was always full of people, noise, laughter, and love. Friends and family were constantly coming and going, coffee was always brewing, and connection was simply part of everyday life.

After spending more than 20 years in New York working in the beauty industry, I felt a deep pull to reconnect with my roots. I had built a career, life was full, and yet I missed the simplicity of those moments around the table — the sense of community and connection I grew up with.

Coffee became my bridge back. A daily ritual that reminded me of home, family, and the way connection is built — one cup at a time.

Cafecito Social grew from that feeling. It’s my way of honoring Guatemala, sharing the coffee I grew up with, and creating spaces — online and in Brooklyn — where people feel welcome, seen, and connected.

Coffee, the Way It’s Meant to Be

  • Roasted where it’s grown

Our coffee is roasted in Guatemala, close to the land and people who grow it. Keeping the process at origin honors the flavor, the farmers, and the culture that shaped it.

  • One country. Many stories.

Every coffee we offer comes from Guatemala, with each region bringing its own depth, character, and personality. It’s a way to celebrate the diversity within one place we call home.

  • Balanced for every day

Our roasts are crafted for clarity and balance — smooth, low-acid, and easy to enjoy whether you drink coffee black, with milk, or as a shared cafecito.

FROM GUATEMALA TO BROOKLYN

Cafecito Social lives in two places at once. In Guatemala, where our coffee is grown and roasted.

In Brooklyn, where it’s brewed, shared, and enjoyed.

Our café in Gowanus reflects that journey — a neighborhood space built around good coffee, warm hospitality, and a sense of belonging.

More Than Coffee

Cafecito Social is about creating connection — between farmers and drinkers, between cultures, and between neighbors.

That connection comes to life through our café, our events, and the spaces we create for people to gather. From community pop-ups and collaborations to seasonal markets, tastings, and conversations over cafecito, we use coffee as a reason to bring people together.

Whether you’re stopping by the café, joining us at an event, finding us at Smorgasburg, or brewing a cup at home, you’re part of a community rooted in care, culture, and everyday ritual.
