ABOUT CAFECITO'S HUEHUETENANGO BLEND
In the mountainous region of La Libertad, Huehuetenango, in the west of the country, a small group of farmers are diligently growing the beans that go into the Huehuetenango blend. One of three non-volcanic coffee regions in Guatemala, Huehue stands out as the highest and driest. The warm, dry winds from Mexico protect the flowering plants from frost, allowing for coffee cultivation at elevations up to 6,500ft.
These high-grown beans are then carefully processed using the washed method, where the coffee cherries are pulped and fermented before being thoroughly washed and dried. This meticulous process enhances the coffee's natural sweetness and bright acidity, resulting in a vibrant and complex cup. Expect delightful notes of juicy orange š, sweet panela šÆ, and rich cocoa š«, creating a truly unique and satisfying flavor experience. This blend gives a flavorful cup with nice acidity and bright aromas.
